This Privacy Policy explains how Events @ hosted.cy ("we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you use Events @ hosted.cy (the "Platform") to discover events, register interest, buy tickets, or attend events. We are the data controller for the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Cyprus data-protection law.
1. What we collect
- Identity & contact data — name, email address, phone number, and company (when provided).
- Transaction data — the events, tickets and orders you create, ticket types, amounts, and payment status. We do not store full card numbers; card payments are handled by our payment processor.
- Attendance data — ticket check-in status and time at an event.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type and server logs, used to keep the service secure and working.
2. Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To provide tickets and run events (issuing tickets, sending confirmations, check-in) — performance of a contract.
- To send event communications you ask for, such as invitations and reminders — consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To keep the Platform secure and prevent abuse — our legitimate interests.
- To comply with legal and accounting obligations — legal obligation.
3. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers acting on our instructions, including:
- Payment processing — Revolut, to take and refund card payments.
- Email delivery — Resend, to send tickets and notifications.
- Hosting — our infrastructure provider within the EU.
- Event organisers — where you register for or buy a ticket to an event, the organiser of that event receives the data needed to admit and contact you.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. International transfers
Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, that transfer is covered by an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How long we keep it
We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction or erasure of your data; restrict or object to processing; request portability; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at . You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Cyprus supervisory authority, the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection (commissioner.gov.cy).
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies to operate the site and remember your cookie choice. See our Cookie Policy.
8. Security & changes
